Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

After being diagnosed with depression last year, I turned to CALM for help and advice. Not only did they offer brilliant support, they also made me realise that I was not alone and helped me overcome my problems in life.

However, for all their great work CALM aren't funded by the Government and as such struggle to keep their helpline and website going. Which is why as a thank you, I want to try and raise as much money as possible for them so they can help other men aged 16-35 who may have been in a similar position to me.

On the 23rd March, I will be running the Liverpool Half Marathon, and on the 4th May I will be running the Liverpool Spring 10k. As part of my preparations I will give up drinking alcohol between 1st January and 10th May (130 days). I know this will be a difficult challenge in itself, but it's all for a good cause and I hope to raise as much money as possible.

Thank you,

Joel Richards
