Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. This summer I’m intending to take a couple of personal challenges to satisfy myself that I’m not totally broken just yet and along the way I’m hoping raise some money to help some others out by way of some simple hard graft.

I’m planning to take on a the Outlaw Ironman Triathlon in late July centred at Holme Pierrepont, Nottingham. This is a full length Ironman event comprising 2.4mile open water swim, 112mile cycle and a marathon distance run to finish. Yes I’m doing this out of choice, fingers crossed all goes well I can make it around before the 17hour cut off limit! 

Along the way I’m hoping to inspire any good souls to take pity on my toil by helping to raise some pennies for Cancer Research.  As we all to aware cancer is an agonising illness that seems to affect people all to frequently and sometimes painfully indiscriminately. With cancer being such a complex and broad ranging condition progress to treat or alleviate it is going to be slow and frustrating. However it’s a fight I believe we cannot afford to ease up on and continued research is the only way to hope for a remedy.
