The Christie charity provides enhanced services over and above what the NHS funds. Your support can help us to fund life-changing and potentially life-saving projects that will benefit cancer patients both now and in the future.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Two years ago (3 days after my 60th birthday), I found out that I had bowel cancer.

Thanks to the treatment and incredible support I received from Dr Alam and her staff at the Christie hospital, I have made a full recovery.(Subject to my 2 year review on the 3rd January 2013!) Update- Positive review so full steam ahead with the training.

My son-in-law David Farrall and I are going to run the Seville marathon on the 24th February 2013. David is a personal fitness trainer so his help in getting me into condition has been invaluable. He may even end up carrying me over the finish line!

We are aiming to raise £1000 between us for bowel cancer research which affects so many people as they get older.

Any donations which help us achieve our target would be fantastic.

Thank you in anticipation of your support.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please help us to help others.
