Story
Hi I'm John... some will know me some won't but thank you for visiting my page and donating money to the Romford Drum and Trumpet Corps!
My girlfriend Rachael, was an RDTC member for 11 years. The band was a second home for her. She made lifelong friends, visited amazing countries, performed at shows that only some can dream of and even met The Queen!! (Name drop!)
It's time to give something back to this amazing organisation!
Here's a little more detail about the band...
RDTC is a youth military style band based in Harold Hill. The charity provide uniforms, instruments and everything else the kids may need free of charge, purely for the love of music. They start as young as 8 and are taught to read and play music. As one of the oldest independent marching bands it has a proud history, with performances throughout the UK. In recent years the band have performed in France, Holland, Belgium, Germany, Ireland , Gibraltar and the USA. The band have performed at prestigious venues including the Royal Albert Hall, St Paul's Cathedral and the London Palladium. The band have been fortunate enough to perform in the presence of every member of the Royal Family. In 2012 the band performed at the opening day of the Olympic Park. The organisation provides a fantastic foundation for youngsters. It is one of the few groups nationally to achieve a Gold status kite mark from the Assured Quality Youth Project. The hard work and effort the kids put into every performance shows how proud they are to be involved with such an amazing organisation.
Thank you on behalf of RDTC for your donation!
