Story
Did you know that 1 in 8 men in the UK will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime?I’m taking on the Walk 100 Miles in May challenge for PCR to change this and help make a difference to men and their families who have been affected by prostate cancer. Please support me during this challenge by donating what you can to Prostate Cancer Research. Every donation you make helps advance our mission to create a world free from the impact of prostate cancer.Thank you for your support! 💙🧡
On a personal level, I’m walking doing this walking challenge to highlight some things about Prostate Cancer:
* The benefits for physical and mental wellbeing of activity and exercise, even during treatment for Prostate Cancer.
* Prostate Cancer can advance with no symptoms - hence the importance of testing and the strong case for a screening programme.
* Awareness about the risks of Prostate Cancer can encourage men to consider their own risk and to seek further information and testing.
* The great work of charities such as Prostate Cancer Research (PCR) @prostatecancerresearch in driving research & improving quality of life for patients, families, and communities affected by prostate cancer.
