London to Brighton Bike Ride 2014 · 15 June 2014 ·

Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

Hello everyone,

Given that you're all in my social circle, the majority of us tend to struggle with too much booze and excess in general, so chances are that some of our hearts may struggle at some point in our lives. With that in mind I've decided to raise some money for the British Heart Foundation so that in a few years time, when we've had one too many steaks and glasses of red, they are in a better position to help us all out...

On June 15th me and a bunch of other lovely people will be cycling from London to Brighton- apparently it's over fifty miles. As most of you know, I don't own a bike nor have I cycled for the better part of a decade making this particular challenge a tricky one. To add further complications, England open their World Cup campaign on the night of June 14th at 11pm UK time so my chances of decent rest are low, and the chances of a hangover are high.

I will be borrowing a bike for the day from the generous Andy 'Noddy' Nolder. However, I'm not quite sure what condition he will have left the saddle in...

Any donations would be greatly appreciated- it's for a good cause!

Jon
