Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My Name is Jon and this is my endurance partner 'Otto'. Otto is a husky x dog and basically a 'mutt' from a council estate in Bury (where I bought him at 12 weeks old) and I am a former soldier in the Parachute Regiment.
We run Endurance races for charity and have so far since 2010 raised over £10k for various military charities that has included Help for Heroes and Combat Stress.
Our chosen charity this time is the Parachute Regiment charity, and being ex Para Regt and upon hearing about it, was only natural I would decide to chose them. I started raising money for them when I was asked if I could run the D Day Normandy Ultra Marathon in their name and we are proud (& honoured) to wear the colours of the regiment both in Ottos harness and our dog equipment.
On the 1st January 2015 the Parachute Regiment Charity & the Afghanistan Trust joined forces to become one charity 'SUPPORT OUR PARAS'
Up until 1st January 2015 Jon & Otto have raised over £2,600 for the Parachute Regiment Charity and will continue to do so into 2015 with a series of events - I ams sure you will agree that these are amazing endurance events not only for a human but for a family pet to take on.
