Story
In April this year I had the misfortune of being in a serious cycling accident.
My injuries were significant, but thankfully not life threatening.
The car from the Air Ambulance NI was the first to arrive on the scene.
Whilst I didn't get a free ride in the helicopter, they treated me on the roadside and transported me to hospital, and I have so much to thank them for.
Belfast Marathon happens to be six months exactly after my accident, and I thought the least I could do would be to raise some money for them.
They did a lot for me that morning; I can do a little something for them.
Hopefully you never need their help.
