As a recreational mountain biker my love for the sport has seen me trying my hand at road riding and having found that I actually enjoy the physical and mental challenge road riding offers I have decided to sign up for 2 charity events in the summer. These are:

25 & 26 May (2 Days) – Coast to Coast

135 miles between Whitehaven and Tynemouth.

6 to 8 June (3 Days) – Purley to Paris

270 miles starting in London and ending at the Eiffel Tower.

I will be putting the pain to a good cause by riding in aid of Cancer Research.  Cancer is an illness which has affected many lives and regrettably I am sure you all know someone who has been or is currently suffering from Cancer. I will be cycling in the memory of my late stepfather who cruelly passed away on the 30 December 1999 aged only 48 years old so I have seen first-hand how this illness tears families apart. 

There is no doubt that these 2 events, although enjoyable will be hard work and the training has already started. I would therefore be delighted if you could help me raise as much money as possible for this great charity as well as spurring me on by sponsoring me.  Any amount will be greatly received.
