Born in York in1953 (you do the maths) , my first memory of racing would be about 55years ago watching the horses at the start(no stalls)on the Knavesmire, in June I will be back at the start again a lot older but still no stalls!! 

Since those early years I have been very lucky in life (good health) and as an owner (good horses) recording Royal Ascot Group 1 success with Fayr Jag, trained by Tim Easterby, and Group 3 success with Knot in Wood, trained by Richard Fahey. 

Only started riding 10 years ago and now look after retired racehorses at home - including Knot in Wood. 

Standing 5ft 3in tall(small) and weighing in at 8st 10lb I am a perfect jockey in all but ability. I hope to be riding in my own colours on 'Relight My Fire' (as owner/breeder) trained by Tim Easterby.

 Having supported Macmillan for many years and having lost a dear uncle to cancer, I also want to support two close friends who are recovering from  recent ops.I must give this once in a lifetime's opportunity my best shot. So please help by donating,thank you.
