Over the next few months, I'm doing a couple of things to raise money for Help the Heroes and GHC.

1) On 15 April 2012, I will be attempting to run the Paris Marathon, which i'm starting to realise is actually a very long way. I'm slightly nervous about this, so i'd be really grateful for your support for this worthy cause.

2) On the 19 May 2012, I, as a member of Guildford Hockey Club am taking part in a 12 ½ hour Hockeython.

Help for Heroes raises money to support members of the Armed Forces who have been wounded in the service of their country. We ask our supporters to ‘do their bit’ to show these extraordinary young men and women that they are cared for by us. For more information visit http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk.

This day will include as many members of GHC as possible. There will be coaching clinics for the colts, various inter-club matches and many other activities. Two matches will also take place between the Combined Services and our men’s and ladies’ 1 XIs. I am hoping that you would be kind enough to donate through just giving to help raise funds for this very worthwhile cause.

The Hockeython will also include many other fundraising activities run by members of GHC so please feel free to come along on the day, have some fun and get involved!
