Story
So this Sunday I'm taking part in the London-Brighton bike ride - 100km of tough Surrey/Sussex countryside - and would be hugely grateful if you could sponsor me. A combination of a certain lack of training and the general ageing process has led me to the conclusion that this will be no walk in the park, and so please think of me flubber-wubbering my way over the South Downs as you sip your afternoon gin and tonic and give generously.
It's in aid of a fine cause - we are inches away from raising £542,000 to stop the beautiful medieval tower of All Saints Church, Fulham, from falling down. Unfortunately, the tower is still only inches away from actually falling down, so your donations will be hugely appreciated.
