Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

My grandad “Jim” was a true gentleman who is missed by all his family and friends.

A fit and healthy man who often ran the great north run himself,  he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in his later years. This stopped him doing the things he loved such as cruising, gardening and watching his beloved Newcastle United due to his slower movements, shaking and lack of balance. It was awful for all of his friends and family to see such a fit and healthy man lose his independence in such a short period of time

I promised that I would complete the great north run for him and would like to raise money for Parkison’s UK to raise awareness of the disease and help other families that may be experiencing what we have been through.

I am looking forward to the event and it will be fantastic for us all to remember him over the weekend.

Please could you help with sponsorship as little or as much as you can.

Thanks

Jordan
