Joseph's Ben Nevisathon

Joe's Ben Nevisathon · 26 May 2019
Hi, a team of us including Frank are raising money by climbing Ben Nevis in May for The Frank Bruno Foundation.
We'll be walking up to the summit of Ben Nevis which at 1,345m is the highest point in the UK. It will be a long and tough climb with a high possibility of harsh weather conditions but it will all be worth it.
The foundation is set up to help people suffering with mental health and other related issues and it is run by Frank Bruno and volunteers who take no salaries so 100% of the money raised goes directly to the charity.
The Frank Bruno Foundation is currently fundraising to open a centre that will provide a base for structured non-contact boxing sessions and well-being programmes for any one over the age of 10 years old.
The aim is to bring healthy-body and healthy-mind approaches together to provide a holistic and enjoyable approach to supporting all clients with mental ill health. These sessions may help participants increase their self-confidence, mental well-being, develop their self-worth, social skills and improve their self-regulation. Focusing on these key areas will help to support social inclusion and to fight stigma.
I fully support any mental health charity and i believe that more can be done to help those that are suffering. Each year 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem, at some point in our lives we will all be affected by mental health issues, be it our own, a family member or a friend so lets make a change. If you can donate to this cause then it will be greatly appreciated.
Lets knockout the stigma attached to mental health and let people know that it's okay to not be okay.
Thank you.
