Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have decided to complete a 5 mile cycle challenge around the 2 year anniversary of when I was involved in a road traffic collision. On 23rd July 2015 I was hit by a vehicle whilst I was on my motorbike, as a result I was initially on life support and was left with cognitive, vision and physical impairments with multiple fractures all over my body.
Following community based rehabilitation over the past two years I have made amazing and unexpected progress to continue leading an independent lifestyle. One of my main passions prior to the accident was going out on my motorbike and although I have not been able to get back to doing this activity I have overcome issues with pain and fatigue and managed to get back out off road bike riding. I would like to use my new found passion for this activity as an opportunity to thank the Air Ambulance service's who air lifted me to hospital on the day of my accident.
On 19th July 2017 I am cycling a local off road route through Blacker Woods in Skelmanthorpe and completing 20 laps of this circuit to complete a distance of 5 miles.
Any donations would be appreciated for this personal challenge I have set myself to show my appreciation for the work Yorkshire Air Ambulance do.
