Tiny Lives is a charitable trust that helps to care for 800+ premature and sick newborn babies and their families each year. It supports the Newcastle Neonatal Service at Newcastle Royal Victoria Infirmary that cares for babies from across the North East and Cumbria.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am going to run/walk/crawl the GNR in September to raise money for Tiny Lives.

Tiny Lives help support families and their babies, most commonly those who have been born prematurely or need extra medical help, and so have been admitted to Neonatal wards. Having had been in the intensive care unit myself, and then having a strong memory of visiting Ellie (my little sister) in the intensive care units it's very important that Tiny Lives can support babies and their families who are in such emotionally and physically stressful situations.

Furthermore, Emily volunteers for the charity, providing a session in which families and their babies who are in the hospital, or still undergoing medical care from home, can meet up and support one another.  The charity helps with travel and accommodation costs, as well as helping the wards, ensuring they have the best technology, and can provide specialist care for nurses.

I would be very greatful of any donations, and will be crossing that line, even if running over it is looking a little optimistic at this stage!
