Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The 26th April would have been the London Marathon. Due to the Coronavirus crisis it has been cancelled. This causes a loss of essential revenue to charities who rely on such events for their fundraising. My friend David Earp set up the Shuktara homes in Kolkata some 20 years ago. Shuktara have two homes which offers a secure and loving home for life for children and young people with disabilities who have no family of their own. Each child has their own story and many have been found on the streets of Kolkata.

I have visited the homes several times in India and now know all the young people by name. The energy and love that radiates from Shuktara is a wonderful thing. They are one big family. Charitable donations and fundraising is an important source of revenue to keep the homes running. Any donation however small will be well received.  Thank you.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
