Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Forty years ago, my husband Cyrille Regis was a part of the West Bromwich Albion FC team that visited China and walked a part of the Great Wall of China. Last year he was invited to join in the walk taking place this October, along with other former team mates and friends in support of the Albion Foundation. We spoke about the training and preparation he would need to do to be able to walk 50km and whilst apprehensive about it, he was also excited.  Sadly, he passed away in January of this year and is missed greatly by his family and so many others that loved him.   I was delighted to be asked by the foundation to join them in this challenge.  I feel he would want me to complete the walk and help to raise money for the Albion Foundation which delivers impacting programmes to young people across the region and also raise funds for the charity that we will be setting up to continue Cyrille's legacy in the future. This will be a huge challenge for me as I have never undertaken anything like this so I will be well out of my comfort zone. However, doing it in memory of Cyrille is my motivation.  Please do support.  I am grateful for every single penny that you donate.  Thank you in advance.
