Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Who'd have thought it? Yes, true story, Ade and I are running this year's Virgin London Marathon together to raise funds for Fight for Sight. The charity does amazing work (without the support of government funding) to combat loss of sight, inherited eye conditions, as well as the causes of childhood blindness, and fund pioneering eye research. If you know someone who has had cataract treatment then it's thanks to Fight for Sight and their work to prevent this debilitating disease.
It's fair to say that Ade and I don't always get to see each other as much as we'd like, so we've decided to spend 26.2 miles running the course together. We've both run the marathon before, but with my new secret weapon (my brother, Ade), I'll be aiming to run sub-5hrs. Unfortunately, it's highly unlikely that Ade will improve on his PB of 4hr13 minutes because he will have me by his side. Whoop Whoop!
Together we're aiming to raise £3,000 for Fight for Sight and would love it if you were able to help us reach our target.
If you're stuck for something to do on Sunday 24th April, we'd be delighted to see your faces to cheer us on - and please don't forget to bring a bag of haribo to feed us on the way round.
