SimplyHealth Great North Run 2018 · 9 September 2018 ·
Ive been talking about doing the GNR for years!! I finally started actually running around the beginning of 2016, and have been hooked ever since. I joined a womens running club (these girls can run) around October 2017 who continue to be a fantastic support.
The push came for me to do the big one, when when uncle passed away in the summer of 2017 having suffered with cancer. I was touched by the support my Uncle and my Auntie recieved from McMillan and felt compelled to ensure others recieved the same. It was a shock to my family to loose a family member too soon and it was a reminder to cherish the time with have with our family and friends. So to ensure this I'm running with my sister and my cousin. We have supported each other continuously throughout our training and hopefully throughout many more life ventures beyond the finishing line!
