Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

So my new idea is that, I will, between 22 February and 22 May swim the equivalent of the English Channel in my local pool while getting sponsored for every length. That’s three months to cover an incredible 22 miles at my own pace.

I want to raise as much as I can for Diabetes UK. A Daughter of a very dear friend of mine was diagnosed with Diabetes Type 1 fairly recently. The impact that it has had on her life is heartbreaking, but she has shown herself to be one of the most courageous young ladies I have ever known, she recently wrote a post on Facebook that I personally think should be published, in it she detailed what it is like to live with Diabetes Type 1. Eireann I may not be able to do anything to help as such but I will do this swim in the hope that some funds can be raised for an incredible charity. x
