Hello and thanks for visiting the JustGiving page in support of the UK charity Mind - championing support for mental well-being. A 30 day Yoga challenge is ideal for Mind, and here's why:
The goal of yoga (according to the Yoga Sutras of Sage Patanjali) is to 'still the chattering mind', to bring a sense of calmness and inner peace...and the practices of yoga can help us to develop that sense of inner peace... through the postures (asanas), the breath (pranayama) and awareness (meditation).
If you have a mind to, I hope you can also join the 30 day yoga challenge yourself and enjoy the benefits of a yoga practice!
It can be as short as a 2 minute meditation watching the breath flow, or a 5 minute sun salutation (seated or standing), or a 10 minute gentle warmup of the joints... or as long as a 1 hour guided class...
