Story

Thanks for your interest and please support our very worthy cause.

The aim of our challenge is to raise at least £1,000 for a very inspirational water charity - Just a Drop.

Our trip is 220 miles long!  We will be canoeing 6-8 hours a day, 15 miles a day, camping in fields along the way.

You can donate via this page or via text using the code STSC50.

Our trip will commence on 3rd June at Thames Head - the source of the River Thames, and we will canoe over the next two weeks via Oxford, Reading, Henley on Thames, Windsor and Chiswick to finish by 18th June at Sheerness.

Our motivation is simple: to raise money for a very worthy cause - bringing water to those who most need it.

Just a Drop is a charity that works at a grassroots level to support communities around the world with access to sustainable safe water solutions, sanitation facilities and knowledge of safe hygiene practices.

Their sustainable projects provide support to communities, such as through the construction of hand-dug and drilled wells, pipelines, sand dams, rainwater harvesting systems and latrines, and hygiene and sanitation programmes.

Just a Drop has reached over 1.4 million people in 32 countries since 1998. Project work is currently focused in Cambodia, India, Kenya, Nicaragua, Uganda and Zambia.

Please give generously - every penny will count.  Thanks, Mark & Sam.
