Story
Crispin Clay suggested that it would be a good idea to swim the river that we have spent many summers water skiing on. it sounded like a bit of a challenge especially as I had never tried open water swimming before. Having bought all the kit with the hope that I would like it my first swim was in March. It was freezing but somehow exhilarating. Sadly after this swim we got locked down. Training resumed in May and it has been a steep learning curve but also very rewarding. I really did not think that I could swim for that long and that far. Crispin and I have been training hard and are hoping to swim as far as the tide will allow on Saturday 8th August and complete what is left the following day.
I was not able to meet my father in law because he sadly passed away from Prostate Cancer before I had the chance to meet him. he also had a strong connection to the River Alde having farmed most of his life in Sudbourne. I would be grateful if you can support me in this challenge by supporting them for the future of mens health.
Thank you
Justin
