Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The Scottish Sensory Centre British Sign Language Glossary website has been going since 2007 and they have collected or created over 1,200 technical signs and BSL definitions for science and maths subjects using funding from many sources. They have worked with 25 Deaf scientists, teachers, linguists and mathematicians to create this bilingual online resource.
There is now a fantastic team of Deaf mathematicians and teachers available to develop more maths signs. We know this is a crucial subject for deaf children who use sign language at school, and for their teachers and interpreters. I personally refer to this resource regularly. Please help them to create more signs and definitions. They will be used all over the UK and open educational opportunities to thousands of deaf children.
Here is the work that has been done so far:

Every sign with definition costs the SSC £50. All this funding goes to the
Deaf scientists, mathematicians, linguists and teachers who work together to create the sign and definition. I am aiming to generate funding for 10 signs.
