Story

Chaz and I are doing the South Wales 50 in June 2017. She forwarded me the event. I laughed and said it was a ridiculous idea. I promptly changed my mind and decided we had to do it.

"Starting from the Pont ar Dawe Car Park at the foot of Pen y Fan, you will run over the main Brecon Beacons range before running back to Cardiff, it has over 3200 meters of ascent."  We're doing it non-competitively. To my mind that means no running ;) To complete it we have to finish together in 24 hours.

Our entries are paid for and it's not a sponsored event, I just thought it might be nice to see if we could get some money for the Mountain Rescue Service in recognition of the work that they do. I'm hoping we won't need them, and we're going to navigate the route plenty in advance, but you never know when an accident might happen even if we avoid getting lost. So if anyone would like to donate, even just because you think we haven't got a hope of completing the actual event, please go ahead :)
