In memory of Monika Bialokowska
We fund life-saving research to help cancer patients everywhere.

Story

On the 13th September 2016, Monika Bialokowska, Senior Research Executive in Financial Services and Technology at TNS, passed away peacefully in her sleep after a short battle with cancer at the age of 28. Her courageous vulnerability left an indelible mark on her colleagues and friends alike. Her final days were spent in Royal Marsden Hospital, where the staff cared for Monika with an astounding level of integrity, tenderness and dignity, allowing Monika a peaceful passage to her final home surrounded by people who loved her the most - her parents.

To honour her memory and her vivacious spirit, as well as to pay our respects to The Royal Marsden Hospital, we are walking in Monika’s shoes, through the city she loved with its cultural heritage she enjoyed so much, parks she walked in, all the way to the hospital where she drew her last breath and which did everything to save her and ease her pain in the final moments.

Monika died of synovial sarcoma, a rare form of soft tissue cancer that affects children and young people. The Royal Marsden is a leading world centre for this type of cancer.

Help us save lives by sponsoring our walk.

Please give generously.

Thank you.
