Walking with Parkinson's · 19 July 2021

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

A few years into my diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease and things are getting tougher. I decided to try and walk the Pennine Way whilst I’m hopefully still able. This is starting on 20th July.  I may be the first in my family to have Parkinson’s but my wife’s family has been blighted by it for two generations and it is fast growing amongst the general population. There have been very few breakthroughs in treatment or prevention over many years now. I hope to raise some money to fund more research while completing a personal challenge which helps me fight off the effects of suffering Parkinson’s. Any donations gratefully received and I promise not to send any pictures of my blisters!
