Story
Hello❣️
On 24th May 2026, I will stand at the start line of the Edinburgh Half Marathon. I have never done this distance yet! I will be nervous, excited, and proud. I am not just running for myself. I am running to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
This is the second time I am raising money for this charity. In June 2025, I raised £200 for Macmillan. That experience stayed with me and made me want to do more. I saw how much support they give to people and families when life feels very hard.
I am doing this run to support people who are fighting cancer right now. Some of my friends are currently going through treatment. They inspire me to keep going, step by step.
I am also running in memory of those who are no longer with us. I recently lost a close family member to this disease. They fought bravely for years, but sadly they lost the fight. This run is for them, and for everyone who has been taken too soon.
Every kilometer I run is filled with meaning. I run for hope, for love, and for support. I believe that together, we can help Macmillan continue their important work and make a difference in the lives of people affected by cancer.
❣️Thank you for your support❣️
Kasia
