Some of you may be aware that back in January 2012 I lost my beloved sister and best friend, Liz, to a rare form of cancer at the age of 34 leaving behind her husband and two very young children.  Liz fell ill in September 2011 and was told in the October that the cancer was terminal. 

Liz was determined to fight the illness with bravery, courage and pride and I spent time looking after her and she is without doubt my hero for the way she dealt with her illness and fate and was beautiful until the day she past and beyond.

I am taking part in Pretty Muddy 5k run at Mote Park on Sunday 10th July along with a group of mums from my sons football team.  This is a great challenge for me as I am not a fitness freak and I have not taken part in any form of exercise since way before I had my first child almost 9 years ago!  I have decided that if my beautiful and amazing sister can deal with what she did - I can complete this challenge.  I can hear Liz laughing at the thought of me doing this right now!

So please, help me and my friends raise as much money as we can because I am sure you have a lost a loved one to this terrible illness.
