Dr Kershaw's Hospice provides free, specialist, end-of-life and palliative care (an area of healthcare that focuses on relieving and preventing the suffering of patients) for adults with life-limiting illnesses in Oldham and its surrounding areas in a peaceful and homely environment.

Story

On 16th February, we will be skydiving to raise vital funds for patient care at Dr Kershaw’s Hospice. From Touch Solicitors, Trusha and Basit are teaming up with Lead Nurse for Community Services at Dr Kershaw’s Hospice, Lindsey and Digital Marketing Apprentice, Kate.

We hope to raise £5000 towards our £2.1m In-Patient Unit new build, due to commence this year. As well as our IPU, Dr Kershaw’s provides a Nursing Times award-nominated Hospice at Home service which enables patients to receive the highest quality palliative care from the comfort of their home surrounded by friends and family.

Dr Kershaw’s Hospice provides specialist palliative care for adults with
non-curable, life-limiting illnesses in a peaceful and homely environment.

Partially funded by the NHS, the majority of the £2.8m annual budget must be raised by donations.
