Story
This page is set up in memory of our lovely daughter Kate who sadly died recently following a massive asthma attack. She was taken to and cared for at the Critical Care Unit at Kings College Hospital where all of the staff were so professional yet so caring – nothing was ever too much trouble, even putting up with lots of us gathering around her bed space getting in their way.
Kate lived life to the full, often pushing the boundaries of there being just 24 hours in a day and because she worked at Kings we were privileged to meet so many of her colleagues and friends when they came to see her… everyone was so shocked but through each of them we were able to get a picture of how loved and respected Kate was.
In her home life she had Dino, her partner and best friend, and together they set up Fox on the Hill Crafts which thrived under their hard-working natures. Dino who is a much loved and valued member of our family joins us in thanking everyone at Kings for their love and care to the whole family as well as Kate, and we all join together to thank you for any memory you share of Kate here and for any donation you may give to the appeal for Kings Hospital CCU. For more information about the appeal please see http://www.supportkings.org.uk/get-involved/kings-critical-care-appeal/
For anyone who is only just learning about our sad news and would like to know more about her life then please listen to this recording of her thanksgiving service which was incredible. http://hopebaptist.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/kates_thankgiving_service.mp3
You will be able to hear Dino's fantastic eulogy to Kate, Paul share a poem he wrote for her, Cheryl reading a bio of her early life and friend Hannah sing a fantastic solo called Heavenly Arms, as well as some fantastic musicians playing (it sounded better live than in the recording) We are so very grateful to everyone who contributed in any way.... and especially to Rev Paul Snell for leading us through it.
