Inspired by World Hat Day for Brain Tumour research I'm dipping in the North Sea every day in December wearing a different hat.  It's going to be hard as the temperatures start to plummet and finding 31 different hats but it won't be as hard as the coming weeks and months are going to be for the bereaved family of our very funny, intelligent and hard working 51 year old friend.
