Clearly if you're here you've already heard of my madness but in a nutshell, I decided to spend my holiday this year with 11 others, all carrying 30kgs on our backs over 400km up the Skeleton Coast in Namibia. WHEN we are successful in our attempt, we will be the first people to have done so unsupported. That means no camels to carry our gear, just us. Our drinking water will be coming from the sea, but of course you can't just drink salt water, so once we've walked all day, we then have to spend hours filtering sea water so we can drink the next day! I am doing this for the experience, which I think will be incredible, but the water aspect of it made me think that WaterAid would be a ideal thing to raise money for.
