We provide skilled and compassionate care to people with a life-limiting illness.

Story

I’ve done quite a few charity walks in the past which I’ve been very proud to do but this one is different. This one is personal and means so much more so please help me and my fellow Big Cats, Julie and Laura, to raise as much money as we can for this wonderful charity in memory of my beautiful, brave mum who was looked after by Pilgrims Hospice in Ashford a few months ago.

At its heart, Pilgrims is dedicated to providing skilled and compassionate care, free of charge, to people living with an incurable illness in east Kent. Their vision is that people with a life-limiting illness are supported and empowered to live well in mind & body, making the most of the time they have. They care for over 2,500 patients a year, at their 3 inpatient units in Canterbury, Thanet & Ashford, their therapy centres, or in patients’ own homes. With 80% of their funding being voluntary contributions, your support cannot be overstated.

About the charity

Pilgrims Hospices is a charity providing palliative care, free of charge, to people in east Kent. For people with a range of life-limiting illnesses, specialist services are provided from our three hospices in Canterbury, Ashford and Thanet, in patients' homes and via community programmes.
