On Sunday 24th May I will be running Edinburgh Marathon, the thought of running 26 miles is a bit scary to say the least and it will definitely be a massive challenge for me! But a marathon is something I have always wanted to do so I am finally going to do it! I will be running in memory of Nicola, I know Nicola raised a lot of money for Mind but we no longer have a local Mind anymore and Cumbria’s suicide rates remain stubbornly higher than the national average so I want any money raised to be used locally. 

Therefore I am going to be raising money for ‘Every Life Matters’ who are a local charity who’s vision is of a community where people can talk openly about suicidal thoughts, mental health problems and emotional distress. A community where people have the resources and skills to help those experiencing suicidal thoughts and mental health problems and to support those impacted by, or bereaved by suicide. Any sponsor however big or small will be hugely appreciated and keep me motivated to get over that finish line!
