I never thought I would be a runner!  But now I think I've got the bug! 

I volunteer as a trustee for Home-Start Nottingham, a wonderful charity that supports families with children under 5 who live in Nottingham.  Trained volunteers visit families at home for two hours a week, offering caring and non-judgemental support.  Like most smaller charities we need support from our local community to survive. 

Staff, trustees and supporters have agreed to form two relay teams to run in the Robin Hood Marathon 2011.  Please show your support by sponsoring me.  I will truly appreciate your donation whether large or small - every donation will help local families and encourage me to keep running on Sunday 11th September.

ONLY ONE WEEK to go now!  I will be doing the second leg: 5.2 miles round Nottingham University grounds and Wollaton Park and then back into town.  A bit hilly but looking forward to it!
