Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

My daughters hair has grown very long and is getting a little out of control (though it is very beautiful) so I suggested maybe a hair cut for summer and that what could be chopped off is over the 7inches minimum length to donate to the Little Princes Trust. The LPT make wigs out of donated hair for children and young adults who have lost all or most of their hair through Chemotherapy.  I told her about the charity and what they do and we looked at all the happy girls and boys who has been given a little bit of their old lives back with their beautiful new hair and she is really, really  keen to donate.

Of course, we were going to raise some money for the the trust as well as donate hair but then the sad news that Hannah Francis lost her battle with an aggressive form of bone cancer was announced yesterday, the 1st of August and it just seems like donating to Hannah's charity Wilberry Wonder Pony seems to be as connected to the fight against cancer while also honouring the memory of a local equestrian superhero. The money raised will go directly and entirely to the charity which will go on to help other cancer sufferers not only by helping with the search to find a way of beating cancer..something Hannah did so well for so long..but also her charity will help grant wishes for people who need a little help in their journey #kickingcancersbutt

So next week Jessica will not only donate her hair to the Little Princess Trust but also to Hannah's charity and while it will be sad to see my daughters beautiful hair cut off it will be wonderful to know she has helped not only another child with her hair but hopefully advance the quest to #kickcancersbuttforgood

Thank you to anyone who feels they have even a pound to donate.

RIP Hannah, you are an inspiration who will never be forgotten.
