WaterAid is an international non-profit with one goal: to change the world through water. Along with decent toilets and good hygiene, a reliable supply of clean water is essential for health, dignity and a life full of opportunity.

Story

Members of Creative Croydon choirs are joining together to fundraise for Sing for Water with Katie Rose and Catherine Pestano.

Sing for Water was initiated by Helen Chadwick at the Thames Festival in 2002, since then this choral movement has raised over £825,000 for lifesaving WaterAid projects.

This years Sing for Water London takes place at the Scoop at 2.30pm on 11th September - friends and family welcome to come to this uplifting event where hundreds of singers from choirs across the UK join together to sing a wonderful watery repertoire.

Katie will be leading a Sing for Water Workshop on 3rd September at Yeha Noha, Norwood Junction, SE25 10.30-3.30am which is open to all Sing for Water participants to come and sing through the songs before the big event on 11th September.  Donations will be given to WaterAid.

Each singer pledges to raise a minimum of £50 for WaterAid.  Individual members of the choirs may have their own fundraising pages or collect sponsorship.

It only costs £15 to give one person access to clean water for life - so every penny makes a difference.
