Story

Oh my! Thank you so much to everybody for all your kind words of support, and a massive thank you to each and everyone of you for the amazing sponsorship you have all given. I, The MND Association and the lovely people I ran for could not have asked for more...

I am glad to day I completed the run without stopping! it took me 1hr and 11 seconds. A bit slower than I would have hoped, but as it was my first time in a race I was quite pleased!

My final position was 1071 so I only dropped down 8 places, but out of 2,000 runners I though that was quite good....

I ran with my Dad, Keith, who was great support (so thank you to him) and he made sure I not only got round in one piece, but that I well and truly earned your money - I could not have gone any faster. And thanks to Mark, Mum, Lou and Debs who came out in the rain to cheer us on.

A massive sincere thank you to you. You really will make a difference now.

A dear friend of mine recently lost his father to Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

When I heard I felt helpless, and didn't know what I could do or say to help him or his family.

I am not sure how but he and his family were, and are still,  being positive & pro-active despite their loss and they have set up a trust fund to help fund the work done by the MND Association http://john.meader.muchloved.com/

So this got me thinking......

In order to raise money for much needed research I am puling on my trainers and running a 10k fun run.

Please help the MND Association to stop anyone else going through what my friend and his family have gone through. Every penny you give will really be appreciated..

I'm running on the 31st May 2010 at Hatfield Broad Oak. If you would like to come and make sure I earn your pennies it would be great to see you there.

This tragedy happening to one friend, is one too many.

Thank you.

Katie
