Story
Sadly my lovely Dad lost his battle with cancer in 2008. During his last few months the Joseph Weld Hospice provided amazing palliative care both at home and in the hospice. They also gave bereavement support for my brave Mum after we lost Dad.
I decided I wanted to run the London marathon to raise money for Weldmar and entered the ballot for a place every year since then. As Sod's law would have it I got a place when I was pregnant with Maisie so had to defer. I could only defer for one year so it's now or never!
I have had to start from scratch with my training being at my absolute unfittest after having a baby, as well as fitting it in around Maisie and work. I am getting there though and should be ready for the 26.2 miles in April.
I am running the marathon in memory of Dad. Any donations, no matter how small, would be gratefully received to help Weldmar continue to provide support to other families like us.
