What Katy Did Now? Head Shave

What Did Katy do now? Head shave · 1 October 2016
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I was on the train the a few weeks back, when it hit me. ""It would be great to give something back to the Neo Natal Unit in London" and contacted the relevant people.
On the 17th of August I got my head shaved. Nerve wrecking stuff! A big thanks to Herman 's Hair Salon on Grafton.
This is 3 months before World Prematurity Day which is on the 17th November.
I could just donate myself, ( I've donated £100) but with your help I can donate even more! Therefore making much more of an impact. Join me in supporting premature babies, give them more of a fighing chance.
£1,100 buys a breastfeeding chair.
£800 buys enough breastpumps.
£400 buys a 16GB Ipad Air 2 so Doctor's and Nurses can Facetime with parents.
My Story:
In February 1983, I was born at 24 weeks, weighing 1lb, 3 Oz. (540g)
I survived, due to a combination of luck, my mother holding me before I slipped away and excellent care from the doctors and nurses. As my mother held me, for what she thought was the last time, I went from blue to pink.
The Neo Natel Unit at UCLH is a level 3 unit, meaning they deal with critical cases. Babies who are born extremely premature or are very sick when they are born. All donations go directly to the Neo Natal unit at the hospital.
The photos on this page are of me and I'm also accepting cash donations in Euro or Swiss francs. I then put the money directly into the charity account online following a currency converstion.
As this is such a personal project, The unit and I appreciate your support even more.
