We support people in the north of Scotland who are affected by cancer or a blood disorder. Working hand-in-glove with the NHS, we take care of the ‘big little things’, and we fund cutting-edge equipment and research. Every penny makes an impact as our operating costs are covered by Balmoral Group.

Story

Keiran Sam MacRonald was an inspirational 19 year old who had a passion for football. In June 2013 at aged 16, Keiran was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia but never let it phase him. After fighting a brave and difficult battle for just under 3 years, Keiran passed away at home on February 8th 2016 surrounded by love.

In honour of Keiran - his family and girlfriend have decided to organise a Charity Football Match to be held on June 19th, 2016 at Banks of Dee in Aberdeen. In 2014, Keiran tried to organise a Charity Football Match himself but unfortunately life got in the way and he never managed to see it happen... so this is for him!

Friends of Anchor really helped make Keirans life in hospital a lot easier. From the small things like providing hand cream for when the filtered hospital air made his hands dry, fresh fruit when Keiran felt too sick to eat, providing TV's and games consoles when Keiran had to stay in hospital for months on end with nothing to do - to much bigger things like investing in the latest technology to continually develop and improve cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Thank you. X
