We provide vital nutritional support to people living with HIV in London

Story

I’ve been volunteering as a Kitchen Assistant for The Food Chain’s community eating lunches for almost a year. I really enjoy cooking and it’s great to be able to put my passion to good use and help people.

On the 1st October I'm walking 35k from Slough Train Station to the Paddington Basin, following the Grand Union Canal towpath. It's likely to take six to eight hours to complete.

The Food Chain turns 35 on Christmas Day, and support for its services is needed more than ever. The Food Chain exists to ensure people living with HIV in London can access the nutrition they need. It delivers meals and groceries, offers cookery and nutrition classes, and hosts communal eating opportunities to help people get well, stay well and lead healthy independent lives.

The Food Chain doesn't receive any government funding, so community fundraising is essential for it to be able to keep providing its vital services.
