Story

Since creating this page, Malina has passed away.

“The most authentic thing about us is our capacity to create, to overcome, to endure, to transform, to love and to be greater than our suffering.” Ben Okri

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I have set it up to raise funds for hospice care in Cornwall. In particular, I would like to think of it helping a wonderful woman, Malina Bowman, whose breast cancer has spread quickly and painfully. You can read about Malina's experience on her blog, Miss Oestrogen Positive. She is now in St Julia's Hospice in Hayle, and I want to support the work of the amazing people who are nurturing her and guiding her family through this terrible sadness.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

*On March 18th I gave an envelope with £311 - including £61 of offline donations - to Cornwall Hospice Care when I registered for the race. People are continuing to donate however, so I've extended the "deadline" to June so that we can continue to fundraise for people like Malina xxxx

Thank you so very much for your support. Love Kelly xxxx
