Story
A week before my daughters second birthday she contracted meningococcal.. Meningitis and septicaemia.. It's a day that will haunt me for the rest of my life.. One minute my daughter was jumping about the next she was lying almost fitting and vomiting, I was sent home the 1st night from hospital thinking tianna had a kidney infection. The next day her skin had started turning black 😢 I took her straight down again carrying what I can only describe as a lifeless body in my arms into something that you would only see in films, I have never seen so many doctors & nurses for one little person. I heard the doctor shout the words ' code red ' and within what felt like seconds we were at the Royal hospital being waited on by more doctors and nurses. It was there that was told the suspected tianna had meningitis. I was told the next 24 hours were critical as to whether tiannas body toom to the medication. Her heart, kidneys etc had already started shutting down 😔 They sent for a minister but the rest was up to tianna to fight. Tianna responded to the treatment and my prayers were answered 🙏🏻 . As a parent watching your child go through this knowing you can't do anything to help is horrendous. Meningitis now helped me and my son through all the stress and trauma and have been with Tianna every step of the way and still are. As its a rare strain of the virus I signed consent forms for tiannas blood to be studied to help them try and find a vaccine and also a test that detects meningitis quicker. That's why this charity is so important this is what they fight for to help save life's. Meningitis kills faster than any virus so please help Tianna raise funds for this amazing charity ❤️
Love from me, Tyler and Tianna xx
