Story
I fell in love with running again while I was pregnant with Sofia, not that anyone knew to start with having started the C25K with my Slimming World group. The more we went out the more we enjoyed it and our confidence grew. So one day we decided that the ultimate goal would be to complete the Swindon half marathon! Anyone who knows me would understand this is a crazy goal, I’ve never ran more than 5km and I’ve gone through phases of running in the past and given up. However I continued to run throughout my pregnancy and completed my final 5km at 37 weeks pregnant. I have had to take time off to recover from my c section but I am now back out to resume my training and start upping the mileage.
I have chosen to run for Brighter Futures incubator appeal. Since having Sofia she is the most important thing in the world. We are incredibly lucky that she is happy and healthy. Not all babies are born so lucky and require a bit of extra help once they arrive. I want to be able to help give these babies the best start to their lives. Charlie (my husband) was in SCBU when he was born extremely prematurely and without their hard work him and many other babies wouldn’t be here today, for which I am very grateful.
Please donate to a great cause to allow these babies the best start possible. Brighter Futures are hoping to raise £175,000 to buy 5 incubators, donating even just £1 will make that target nearer.
