Welcome to my Just Giving fundraising page! I am running the 2025 Edinburgh Half Marathon, with my partner Andy, for Clan Cancer Support. Please will you help support us? It would make my first race a memorable one.

My story? I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in September 2022. My life flashed bedore my eyes. Suddenly i was making plans i thought i was too young to make and wondering if i was going to see my 30th birthday the following year. Two months later i had a 7 hour surgery where I had a full thyroidectomy and removal of lymph nodes down the right side of my neck. I had radiation in 2023 to remove any remaining cancer cells and I am now on medication for life to keep my body doing what it needs to do. Due to my diagnosis and medication, i struggle with low energy daily. This challenge will hopefully push me to show how capable i am!

Why Clan? After returning back to work immediately after my diagnosis, I crumbled and knew I needed to speak to someone. Clan Cancer Support were there and ready to listen to my fears and talk me through a realistic next few months. I will be forever grateful for those hours that they sat and listened. It was a terrifying time but I felt supported on those dark days.

I have never taken part in anything like this before and only started running last year so your support would mean the world to me. A huge thank you to my Andy for being the best running partner I could ask for and for agreeing to train me up and run on the day along side me.
