Story

On the 8th of September, myself and Graham are participating in the 'Run to the Beat' half marathon in London.

We are both running in the name of Ken Dobbs. My Dad and Graham's Uncle who sadly lost his life in January after a short 3 month battle with an agressive form of esophageal cancer.

Dad spent the last of his time with us at the Macmillan associated Cransley Hospice in Kettering. The care he recieved there was second to none and they made a very difficult time as bearable as it could be for Dad and his family.

Many people experience situations similar to ours and Cransley Hospice continues to care and support in extraordinary fashion.

The hospice is very close to the heart of not only myself and my family, but many, many others which is why we are trying to raise any amount we can to help fund this wonderful place.

Cransley Hospice provides hospice care for North Northants. It is also the base for Community Specialist Palliative Care Nurses who provide specialist care in hospital and at home. Although within the NHS the Hospice relies heavily on charitable donations with the current target being over £850,000
