the 60 hole challenge · 21 June 2021

Motor Neurone Disease moves fast. It takes away time, it takes away independence and it has no cure. Every day we support people affected by MND. We fund ground-breaking research. We campaign for better care. We’re here for everyone who needs us. Because with MND, every day matters.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Well I set out to try and raise £500 for MND because the Captain of our golf club ,Gareth Clark's mum has suffered from this horrible disease  for some time.

I decided that since l'd played off a single figure handicap  for 60 years I would walk and play 60 holes of golf in one day.( about a twenty mile walk)

Well on 21 June I set off at 7.30 in the morning.

With sore knees from lining up all those putts I finished at  about 8 o'clock in the evening.

The surprising thing was that I played really well scoring 78, 77, and 80 gross

All I can say now is  I've smashed  my original  target and I'm feeling  absolutely great that so many good people have already donated so much to a very worthy cause.
